Install and pin Workway app for users

This guide helps Teams administrators install and pin the Workway app for a selected group of users. By following these steps, admins can ensure smooth deployment without requiring users to manually install the app.

Steps to Install and Pin the Workway App

  1. Navigate to Setup Policies
    • Go to Teams Admin Center > Teams apps > Setup policies.
    • You can either select an existing policy or create a new one.

  1. Install the Workway App:
    • Open the chosen policy.
    • Under Installed apps, click on Add apps.
    • Search for Workway app, select it, and click Add.
    • This will automatically install the Workway app for all users assigned to this policy.
  1. Pin the Workway App:
    • In the Pinned apps section, click Add apps.
    • Search for Workway app, select it, and click Add.
    • You can now arrange the Workway app in the order you prefer within the pinned apps list, for both the app bar and the messaging extensions.

Note:

  • Ensure the correct users are assigned to the app setup policies for the changes to take effect.
  • Policy changes may take a few hours (or more, depending on the number of users) to fully propagate.
